KAGAN COOPERATIVE LEARNING WORKSHOP

KAGAN COOPERATIVE LEARNING WORKSHOP – WEDNESDAY 3 APRIL

A reminder that we are holding a parent workshop on the principles of Kagan Cooperative Learning on Wednesday 3 April. The session will look at how this approach guides how we organise our classrooms and structure our lessons at Rosendale.

The forum is taking place from 6.30pm – 7.30pm, and will be led by Miss Gee and Miss Atkins.  We are able to offer childcare for school age children (4-11) during the session but this must be booked in advance. Please email parentcommunications@rosendale.cc to book.

Down to nature

Today we have been working on still life. We realised we had to spend way more time looking than drawing to get a good representation of the plants and make it look realistic.

PE 26.03.19

In our fencing taster session we learned how to salute, assume the On Guard pose and how to lunge. If you fancy continuing your fencing journey, you can try out Streatham Fencing Club.

Weekly round up

What’s that coming over the hill? Is it a monster? This week we have been reading The Minpins by Roald Dahl. We have learnt that the Forest of Sin has a gigantic monster inside that has terrified Little Billy. The children have learnt about writing commands, statements and exclamations. Next week the children will be continuing with the Minpins text.

In Maths we have been learning about tenths as fractions and decimals, placing them on a number line from 0-1.  Next week we are continuing with our topic of fractions, learning to find fractions of amounts. For example, what is 1/4 of 12 or 1/3 of 9?

The spellings next week are:

Group 1

automatic
autopilot
autograph
autonomy
autofocus
autobiography

Group 2

although
after
which

Have a wonderful weekend.

It’s competition time, have a play over the next week and score points for our class for every correct answer. Accuracy matters here, not speed or quantity!
