This week in Year 3 has been jam-packed with learning and fun!
In maths we finished our topic on statistics; focusing on tables with data. We had to answer questions related to the tables as well as come up with our own suitable questions. Coming up in maths is measurement and our particular focus for next week is length (cm, mm and m).
Our english topic was so fun this week as we composed our own poetry about school dinners. We used negative adjectives such as slimey, gloopey and mushy to write a poem about disgusting school dinners and then wrote a positive poem using adjectives such as divine, tasty and succulent to write about rosendale school dinners. We then ended the week with a poetry jam; performing our poetry to all of year 3. Our next topic coming up this week is light and dark.
For art this week we painted our clay models of our zoomer animals.
In music we continued learning different rhythms on the ukulele such as a calypso strum (down, down, up, up, down.) It was super tricky!
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend!
